CWEB.com - The strategic investment will launch Volkswagen’s new mobility unit focused on new technology. VW “want to go beyond vehicle ownership,” Gett CEO Shahar Waiser told Business Insider. Gett launched in Israel in 2010. The app works much in the same way as Uber, allowing users to call a taxi. Gett has achieved annual revenues of $600 million. It has previously raised $300 million in venture capital. The ride-sharing app operates in 70 European cities and New York.
