CWEB - Presumptive republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said “there’s nothing to learn” from his tax returns and dismissed the idea that voters had a right to see them.
There is no legal requirement for a presidential candidate to make his or her tax returns public, but every major party nominee since 1976 has done so. Several bankruptcies and other holdings and dealings….yeah, nothing to see here. A critical prong of the supposed basis for this asshole’s campaign is that he’s a good businessman and that’s why he’d be a good president. He has to prove his worth as a businessman by opening his books and showing his taxes.
Our Take : Donald Trump told Syracuse.com in April that "I actually look forward to giving my tax returns" but that, apparently, has changed. Why should the American People trust him? The part of the brain that wants to vote for Trump is not the part of the brain that makes logical, well-reasoned decisions. It’s the part that responds, viscerally and emotionally, to fear and to appetite. Trump’s image fulfills the need for both. He is such a blowhard, megalomaniac, and all-around nasty and repulsive person attacking other candidates and their families on daily basis, that it’s unbelievable that’s he’s in a position to actually occupy the White House.
